Background:

Construction safety and occupational health continue to present significant challenges on a global scale. Despite the widespread adoption of zero-harm initiatives in many countries, conventional health and safety management practices have demonstrated inherent limitations in fully realizing this vision. The integration of smart technologies offers transformative potential to overcome these challenges, providing innovative solutions that enhance safety and health outcomes in the construction industry.

Objectives


The primary objective of the 3S Task Group is to stimulate collaborative research efforts and to systematically disseminate knowledge pertaining to the integration of smart technologies in the construction sector. This initiative seeks to advance the understanding and application of these technologies in improving site safety and occupational health.


The Task Group will actively identify and celebrate outstanding research contributions that have significantly advanced the development and implementation of smart technologies designed to enhance safety and health within the construction domain.


A critical aim of the Task Group is to advocate for the practical adoption of smart technologies across the construction industry. This involves not only encouraging their implementation but also supporting the development of best practices that can be applied in real-world construction environments.
